The Story of Cheche
The Potatoes

Did you know that 100% of potatoes used in Cheche crisps originate from the fertile soils of Tanzania?
​
We work with the best local farmers across the country who nurture potatoes with their love and care.
Soon after the harvest, we select the highest quality potatoes to be processed in our state-of-the-art facility at Mapinga.
This ensures that the Cheche crisps are always fresh, crunchy and bursting with flavour!

The Production Process

When the potatoes arrive at our factory in Mapinga, they undergo a meticulous transformation guided by the skilled hands of our experts.

These potatoes are carefully cleaned, peeled, and precision-sliced to achieve the ideal thickness for that signature Cheche crunch.
​
Then, the chips are fried to perfection. This process ensures that each crisp absorbs just the right amount of oil, achieving the golden, crispy texture that defines Cheche crisps.

The journey takes a flavourful twist as the fried crisps take a dive into our unique seasoning mix, immersing themselves in a symphony of locally inspired spices that infuse each crisp with the vibrant taste of Tanzania.

With care and precision, the crisps are delicately packaged to maintain their freshness and crunch.
